China translates coronavirus control plan, shares with 180 nations

China has compiled and translated coronavirus control plan and it has shared it with over 180 nations.
The country believed that the resources and knowledge shared would help other nations in their fight against the novel COVID-19.
Coronavirus was first detected in a market in Wuhan, China but the country has recorded no case of the virus in over a week.
According to the Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, Zeng Yixin, the latest diagnosis and treatment plan, prevention and control plan and other technical documents have been compiled, translated and promptly shared with over 180 countries.
Yixin said that a meeting to share China’s epidemic prevention and control experience was jointly held by the NHC and the WHO, which was attended by representatives from 77 countries and seven international organisations and was watched by 100,000 people online.
He said China also established an online knowledge centre in the field of epidemic control and clinical treatment, and expert database for international cooperation.
Yixin, however, added that nearly 30 technical exchange meetings had been held with more than 100 countries and regions by video links.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, Deng Boqing, said Chinese medical workers and supplies have been sent to 28 Asian countries, 16 European countries, 26 African countries, among others.
Boqing noted that on the premise of fully ensuring domestic pandemic control, China had properly formulated its aid plan and offered assistance to other countries within its capability.
He said, “China’s assistance to other countries is conducive to the global fight against the virus and will consolidate its hard-won achievements in containing the spread.
“Chinese researchers’ contributions were also recognized by the global scientific and technological community.
“For instance, China shared the first completed genome sequence of the novel coronavirus on Jan. 11, and had built two platforms to share its scientific developments.”
According to the Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Xu Nanping, one of the platforms, the COVID-19 Novel Resource (2019nCoVR) database, has recorded more than 4 million downloads by users from 152 countries and regions as of Wednesday.
Nanping said sharing scientific data and information is China’s fundamental attitude to the COVID-19 control.

Trump leaves hospital for White House; removes mask immediately

President Donald Trump checked out of hospital Monday after four days of emergency treatment for Covid-19, pulling off his mask the moment he reached the White House and vowing to quickly get back on the campaign trail. Shortly beforehand, Trump had tweeted that Americans, who have lost nearly 210,000 people to the virus, have nothing to fear. A series of made-for-TV moments allowed Trump to squeeze the maximum from his medical discharge, starting by exiting alone from the large gold-colored front doors of the Walter Reed military hospital just outside Washington. Live on television, he then walked in a mask to a limousine, giving the thumbs up, before boarding Marine One helicopter for the quick flight to the White House — which he left on Friday after falling ill. After landing, he walked up the steps onto the South Portico’s stately balcony, demonstratively removed his mask and offered a 23-second salute to the departing Marine One. With less than a mont...
